PR-/72 RELIEF CHEQUES FOR CLAIMS UPTO 15 LACS WILL BE ISSUED FROM 25-JANUARY, RECONSTRUCTION OF DESTROYED BUILDINGS WILL BE EXECUTED IN THE SUPERVISION OF EXPERT CONSULTANTS SHORTLY
Government of Sindh’s Karachi Affected Relief Committee’s Second Meeting held today at KCCI, under the Chairmanship of Committee Chairman and Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh, Muhammad Zubair Motiwala. Chairman Businessmen Group, Siraj Kassam Teli, Committee Member and President-KCCI, Abdul Majid Haji Muhammad, Committee Member and former President-KCCI, A. Q. Khalil, Committee Member and President, All Pakistan Memon Federation, Ahmed Chinoy, Secretary Finance Government of Sindh, Dr. Fazalullah Pechuho, Representative of Federal Finance Ministry, Fauzia Saleem, Additional Secretary Finance Government of Sindh, Saeed Ahmed Awan, Special Finance Secretary Government of Sindh, Najmul Saqib Siddiqui, Deputy Financial Advisor Federal Finance Ministry, Abdul Wahab Arain, District Officer(Coordination) City District Government, Syed Mukarram Sultan Bukhari participated in the meeting.
Karachi Affected Markets Relief Committee, in the 2nd meeting approve the proceedings and minutes of first meeting and it was informed to Committee that till the cut-off date of 20-January, for receipt of survey/ claim forms, 2802 claim forms were submitted by the claimants. Scrutiny was done of some wrongly and double submitted forms in the presence and consultation of authorized representatives of the affected markets. After initial assessment, scrutiny of 50 percent forms was executed and it was decided that payment upto the benchmark of Rupees fifteen hundred thousand will be started between 25th to
Karachi Affected Markets Relief Committee expressed its cordial gratitude to the President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Governor Sindh, Dr. Ishratul Ibad, Federal Finance Minister, Shaukat Tarin and others for announcing the relief package of 3.5 billion. The Committee also expressed its thanks to City Nazim Karachi, Syed Mustafa Kamal and authorized representatives of affected markets for extending their complete satisfaction on the relief committee and worked day and night for the relief activities. |
